Well I respect everyone’s opinion here, and took the time to read through it all - but some of the “reasons” people give for disliking me here seems to be based on a bit of misinformation. Though if you don’t want me to create content again because you didn’t like the content or how I did it, that’s one thing and perfectly acceptable to think - I won’t argue with that.
Prepare for a wall of text, but hopefully it’s helpful nonetheless:
LBE_Hater_No1:
he betrayed the community promising that if he ever joins to DF the community voices Will be heard more easily by the developers
I never said this, let alone “promised” this, since how on earth would I be able to make this promise if I didn’t know what was possible, as I wasn’t a CM then? We have made a lot of changes and things as a result of the community itself, not all are straight visible publicly though, admittedly, and with other things we’re restricted by time and/or the existing logic of the code making something difficult and therefore more time intensive/far more complex to do than we may think, which plays a bigger role than I expected before joining. Being reflective of myself here, I probably should have guessed this before I joined too.

Starting from something petty like having the release window all over the place instead on a steady 3 pm as under james ( under him it is like 12pm to 5pm depending on his mood).
This is untrue for every news or event or other “release” apart from major updates (which I have no control over at all the exact time they are released, this depends so much on the platforms themselves and what else needs to be completed by developers).
We always release news of the same type at the same time every time (3pm German time, but that will vary based on clock changes that some countries do, since we have employees all over the world). The only exceptions are when we have multiple things to publish that day, so one thing is staggered to make room for it so we don’t post multiple things at the same time.

To some more concerning issues like him just rarely responding to actual questions in new topics or other topics that arent just support related. When i called him out in the past he tried to guilt trip me as an excuse (valid or not it still came of as deflecting from the issue).
I’m not entirely sure what the second half of this is about, I tried to see if I was missing something, still can’t see what this might be - regardless, I’ve never intended to guilt trip anyone! As for responding to things, I’ll give you that I could arguably do that a bit better, but there are often things we can’t answer so I cannot give anything, since even responding itself with anything is an answer. A lot of the forum is looked at by Helpers anyway if not me, they do some superb stuff.

And finaly McDonalds did say some really questionable thing that do got me concerned over the future of the game (or his intellectual abilities) when he said body armor was just a knee jerk reaction and nothing to worry about when the issue had already been know since even before the merge and certainly is real.
This is entirely false and completely taken out of context. Check back to my comment where you read this and you would see. To explain it, I said developers were against making knee-jerk reactions (in general, and it’s pretty logical) to things based on immediate thoughts from the community, for example, when things are just spoken about in a basic way in news and not able to be tried out in-game yet (Japan rifle balance for example). Saboteurs is another great example - not received initially the best on this forum, but outside the forum it was generally more positive, and when it was released there were far fewer negative thoughts about it.
The funny thing is, for those who claim to have seen some of my old content, you would see how I always used to complain about body armor for USSR in everything - I’m surprised how quickly that was forgotten by players! I just equally give the developer point of view. I think I also said that it’s more likely that a nerf would be added to body armor, or to a lesser extent for it to be added to other factions in some way, rather than outright removed, but anything is possible and it could still be removed.
“Knee-jerk” I can see has become a bit of a meme for people to raise their pitchforks about, but in general, it’s still a completely logical thing for most new features added to the game. There are many past examples (in many games too, not just here) of opinions shifting based on trying out something new.
Ixussss:
if you said he was the reason we lost the gold orders GET THE PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES!
I am not - in fact most of the things I have aided developers with are things I did always speak about I wanted to do in my past content, like matchmaking adjustments for +1/-1 BR. Not everything I’ve been able to do, the game is not just about me and my opinions, so it shouldn’t just be what “I want”.
Darenius1:
Also I now also remember how major did puplicly admit that the devs are afraid of the “other” mains when designing german weapons and thus germany cant have thing percieved as to be strong
I never said this either. “Afraid of mains of X nation” is not even a viable argument for any changes coming to the game. :))
The main thing I personally prefer is not making every nation feel the same. I like nations having differences, even if that means comparing X weapon for Germany vs Y weapon for USA has a clear winner, and for the interest of the game I also think this matters. Adding some new gun instead is a better solution rather than buffing the one seen as “underpowered” to match the exact stats of the “powerful” one, or even giving more options to counter different things. I’d get bored if all nations and guns felt the same.
Ice_Cricetus:
Do you want to watch the videos of “Active Matter” produced by MJ on YTB? There are many things he was involved in producing. Why can’t you see them?
I don’t produce any videos for AM.
Ice_Cricetus:
He will not act in favor of the interests of the frontline soldiers as he did initially, when they were like family and had a harmonious relationship. Because he is a regular employee and has signed a confidentiality agreement, his salary comes from the frontline soldiers.
I see what you’re trying to say, and I expected players to say this as soon as I joined. Fair enough. However, as an employee I cannot (and don’t even want to) just say something completely outrageous about the game on any public forum, which should be expected. I can say in nicer ways how I want X to be changed, and for some things I have above already.
Just because I am a CM does not in any way, shape or form mean I’ve just decided to “stop” pushing for things I thought would benefit the game and that I made content about. Everything I said in those videos/streams still stands, some have been implemented, others not. If I made videos again talking about this stuff, it probably would make it more obvious, admittedly, but much happens internally now, and I have to respect the developers’ thoughts about it, which are all valid. They care a lot about the game and player opinions, just not everything can be done at all times, so we put it where we can, propose specific ways of doing things, etc.
GeneralBrus:
Well, nothing against Major in general - but he was the number one voice that pushed for a G43 kurz nerf.
This is not true at all. For HA reasons it made sense to do, but that doesn’t mean I pushed it or anything. Player feedback played the biggest role.
